Monitoring of all groundworks associated with the development of a dwelling-house, septic tank and percolation area at Willville, Carlingford, Co. Louth, was undertaken on 2 May and 4 July 2002. The site is just on the edge of the constraint ring for a cropmark. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted during the site visit. However, two additional cropmarks (SMR 8:88 and 9:6) lie two fields away, giving the impression of a complex of archaeological features in the surrounding area. No archaeological features were uncovered during the monitoring.
