It is proposed to build an L-shaped complex of 21 apartments with an access road and car-parking on the site of the former O’Hare’s Mill at Nicholas Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth. Three test-trenches were excavated in the site of the proposed development. A layer of demolition rubble covered the site to a maximum depth of 0.8m.

No archaeological features or deposits were exposed in any of the trenches.
