This site, 60m north-west of Donaghmore 1 (No. 1305, Excavations 2002, 02E1330), contained a layer of charcoal-rich clay overlying one shallow pit. Both the pit and the layer above it had been heavily truncated by modern ploughing, and little remained of either. Four sherds of fine, red, thin-walled, prehistoric pottery were recovered from the pit. No other archaeological remains were found, and, although it is possible that this site is related to or contemporary with Donaghmore 1, the pottery recovered was different in appearance from that found at Donaghmore 1. 14C analysis of this site should help to resolve this issue.
