This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. A single feature was excavated. It was irregular in both plan and profile, measured at least 1.24m north–south by 0.79m and was 0.42m deep. The base and northern edge of the feature could not be clearly established. No artefacts were recovered during the excavation, and no samples were taken.
It is thought that the remains represented a small pit or post-hole that had been damaged by an animal burrow. It is also possible that the entire feature was a product of animal activity without the intervention of human agency.
