This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. This isolated feature was a subcircular pit or post-hole. It was 0.35m in diameter and 0.17m deep, with a concave profile. The fill was a mid- to dark brown, clayey silt with a moderate amount of charcoal. It produced a small fragment of iron slag. No datable material was recovered.
