This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. An isolated bowl-shaped pit, 0.44m in diameter and 0.15m deep, was excavated. The fill was a fine, mid-brown silt with occasional charcoal inclusions. No artefacts were recovered, and it is not possible to date the feature. The presence of fire-oxidised clay to the south-west, however, suggests in situ burning. Comparison with similar features excavated nearby as part of this project may be useful.
