This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. Three possible features were identified during monitoring, adjacent to a field boundary. These were subcircular patches of black, charcoal-rich, clayey silts mixed with red oxidised clay, with diameters of 1.5m, 0.75m and 0.6m. Excavations revealed them to be the result of modern burning activities.
