The test excavation of a development site at Bundoran Road (off Castle Street), Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, was carried out on 1 and 2 August 2002. The development consisted of the demolition of an existing shed, the construction of two terraces of two-storey houses (twelve dwellings in total), their connection to public services and all site works. Three trenches were excavated by machine. A number of modern pottery sherds and modern glass bottles were recovered from the topsoil and fill in Trench A. The testing revealed natural, undisturbed stratigraphy, and nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
