Thirteen test-trenches were excavated before the construction of a business park at Jigginstown, Naas, Co. Kildare. The park consisted of six large single-storey buildings, which will house 90 light-industrial units. The land had previously been used for pasture and tillage. The topsoil was excavated to 0.25m, revealing undisturbed subsoil. A single flint flake was found in the ploughzone close to Trench 11 but was undiagnostic. No deposits or features were revealed during these works.
