Testing was carried out at the site of a proposed water pipeline at Bodenstown, Co. Kildare. The proposed development consists of the construction of a water-supply pipeline, c. 30km long, running from an existing reservoir site at Duncreevan, west of Kilcock, to its termination at a proposed reservoir at Castlewarden South.
The proposed development falls within 5m of a church and graveyard. Testing was carried out on 29 May 2002 along the proposed pipeline route. Three trenches were excavated. Nothing of significance was identified. There is no evidence that the cemetery extended beyond its existing walled boundary.
