Monitoring and testing were undertaken in relation to two single-house developments at Listellick South, Tralee. The development site lay in a rich early medieval landscape comprising a cluster of seven ringforts. Primary groundwork was undertaken using a mechanical digger with a 2m-wide flat bucket. Soil cover was very thin (150mm) and consisted of a light brown loam that overlay natural shale bedrock. No archaeological features or artefacts were noted.
