Further monitoring of Phase 1 of a large housing development was undertaken. The removal of scrub vegetation and topsoil and further deep trenching associated with an entranceway over a stream were undertaken with a mechanical track machine. No artefacts or stratigraphy were recovered. Other monitoring and testing by Marion Dowd (No. 837, Excavations 2002) had uncovered a very fine, unstratified, polished stone axe and a linear ditch.
