Monitoring is currently under way for Kerry County Council in relation to the Listowel Regional Water Supply Scheme (Stage 4). Monitored groundworks have so far included topsoil removal for the construction of a pump-house in the townland of Lyre, the construction of reservoirs and a compound area in the townland of Farranstack, and the construction of another reservoir in the townland of Tullamore. Associated pipeline trenches are now being excavated between these areas. No archaeological artefacts or stratigraphy have been recorded to date.
