Monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a dwelling-house at Farranaspig, Killarney, did not reveal anything of archaeological significance. The development is within the zone of potential of a fulacht fiadh, which is marked to the south of the proposed house site. It was not found during the monitoring and may have been levelled in the recent past.
