Testing took place on the footprint of a proposed dwelling-house adjacent to the levelled site of a possible fulacht fiadh, as recorded by Toal (1995, 56) and subsequently placed on the SMR, at Dromin Upper, Listowel.

The entry in the North Kerry archaeological survey records that burnt and shattered stones were exposed while a new access road was being dug (local information). Testing in the area of the proposed dwelling was negative, with no archaeological features or strata recorded.
