Monitoring took place of groundworks associated with the construction of eight houses at Derreenauliff, Sneem, Co. Kerry. The development was situated on hill terrain, which was strewn with boulders and drystone-wall boundaries. The general stratigraphy of the area was a dark brown, sandy silt topsoil with some areas of peat, 0.8–0.2m deep. The topsoil overlay boulder clay and bedrock. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted during monitoring.
