The first phase of monitoring of topsoil-stripping associated with a Roadstone quarry development was undertaken in June 2001 (Excavations 2001, No. 489). A second phase was carried out on 14 May 2002. As part of this phase, a denuded field-clearance cairn was surveyed. The removal of the cairn was also monitored. Nothing of archaeological significance was discovered.
