Test-trenching took place at the site of a proposed house development at 26 Beechwood Lawns, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, on 24 October 2002. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of Rathcoole.
Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the excavation of three trenches within the footprint and to the rear of the proposed dwelling-house. The level at which undisturbed natural geology was uncovered varied between 0.75m and 1.1m below present ground level. This variation appeared to be related to construction.
