Monitoring took place of construction works on the south side of Main Street, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin. The site was to the side and rear of the Rathcoole Inn and consisted of three apartment blocks with underground car-parking. Though accessed from Rathcoole Main Street, most of the development was set back from the street. The site lay within an area of increased archaeological potential, as defined by the SMR.

The foundations were excavated to a depth of c. 3m below the subsoil surface. Five test-pits had previously been excavated on the site and monitored by Martin Byrne. These pits did not produce any finds/features of archaeological/historical interest. The current monitoring did not reveal any finds or features of archaeological interest.
