The Parkwest Distributor Road is being constructed at the eastern end of the M50 Western Parkway Road and to the north of the Dublin to Galway rail line and the Grand Canal. This section of the road is c. 500m long and 10m wide. The road, being developed by Dublin Corporation, links Nangor Road and Cloverhill Road. Monitoring was carried out along the length of the distributor road from 1 to 5 July 2002. The topsoil layer was contaminated by modern debris, both structural and domestic detritus. This layer sealed a clean natural that was, over the 500m monitored, completely featureless.
