After testing carried out by Shane Delaney (Excavations 2001, No. 351), it was recommended that monitoring of the mechanical excavation of underground carparks and the foundations of the development be undertaken. The plans of the development were altered slightly to avoid potential archaeological features in the south-western corner of the site area that were uncovered during testing. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.
