Monitoring was carried out on the footprint of thirteen houses, the last phase of a housing estate in Lisnenan townland, on the north-eastern outskirts of Letterkenny. The site is on a steep west-facing slope in pasture with occasional rock outcrops. The area stripped measured c. 110m north–south by 40m. Topsoil with modern pottery inclusions consistently overlay orange/brown subsoil or schist bedrock. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.
