Monitoring was carried out at the townland of Ballintemple, Falcarragh, Co. Donegal, on 28 August 2002. The proposed development entails the construction of a house. The site is near a holy well. Topsoil and sod consistently overlay deposits of peat and a blue/grey clay with stones, which in turn overlay an iron-rich yellow/brown clay with fragments of schist bedrock. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during the monitoring.
