Testing of a potential archaeological feature took place on the line of the sewerage scheme in the town of Ardara, Co. Donegal. The feature was the remains of a possible wall, 3.7m long, 0.7m wide and 0.5m high, running east–west. It was composed of eight large stones resting directly on the topsoil.
Two trenches were excavated in the area of the wall. The first was placed across a slightly raised area to the immediate east of the Owentocker River, and the second was immediately south of the wall. No archaeological features or strata were noted. Modern debris was recovered from between the stones. The wall is part of an existing field boundary and of no archaeological significance.
