Monitoring was carried out before the redevelopment of a shop at the eastern end of Kingsgate Street, Coleraine. The site lies near the 17th-century town fortifications, and some 17th-century bricks were noted in the fabric of one of the shop walls. The floor was removed, and the underlying surface and the wall foundations were examined. No further 17th-century bricks or any archaeological finds or remains were revealed.
