On the eastern slopes of the extended Foyle river valley, this proposed housing development lay within the zone of archaeological potential of SMR 1:14. Monitoring of topsoil-stripping revealed a number of small deposits of charcoal-rich soil scattered around the area; however, none of these provided a discernible pattern or datable artefacts. One area, however, had a concentration of features that may be the remains of an area of occupation much ploughed out, with the surviving features representing post-holes describing a possible structure.
