The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of a circular enclosure at Pallas, Mallow. Five trenches were mechanically excavated across the site, along the proposed footprint of the foundations of a house that had recently been granted planning permission. An additional trench was excavated in the proposed location of the septic tank. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed.
