Testing was required at Glanycarney, Dunmanway, Co. Cork. The site was within the zone of archaeological potential of a standing stone, a stone circle and a fulacht fiadh. It was proposed to construct a dwelling-house on the site. Four trenches were opened along the footprint of the house, and a fifth was dug in the vicinity of the septic tank. No archaeological finds or features were noted in any of the trenches.
