The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of a flour mill, which is a working building in which animal feed is produced. The site owner was granted planning permission to extend the mill. Three trenches were mechanically excavated across the proposed location of the extension, directly north-west of the mill building. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed.
