Planning permission was granted for the development of four dwelling-houses at Dromleigh North, Bantry, Co. Cork, just outside of and within the zone of archaeological potential of a disused burial-ground. The cartographic record suggests that the burial-ground was in use sometime between 1902 and 1944, during the existence of the nearby Union workhouse. Six trenches were excavated by mechanical digger. No archaeological finds or features were noted in any of them.
