Testing took place at this site as part of an application to construct a dwelling-house and garage. The eastern boundary of the site lies 15m west of St Fachtna’s Well (SMR 143:30); however, the proposed development will not impinge on this monument. Five trenches were excavated to the level of natural, sandy, gravelly clay, which lay at 0.6–1m below ground level. No material of archaeological significance was uncovered.
