Planning permission was granted to Eli Lilly SA, Dunderrow, Kinsale, Co. Cork, to construct an office building and laboratory in the south-western part of the Eli Lilly complex. Monitoring of all subsurface disturbance on the site was a condition of the grant of planning, as there is a souterrain nearby. A temporary carpark stood on the site of the proposed development. All topsoil had been removed at the time of the construction of the carpark. The removal of the existing hardcore to subsoil level was monitored. No archaeological finds or levels were noted.
