Planning permission was granted for a cattle underpass of the R580 in Ballyhest East, Castlecor, Co. Cork. The underpass was to the west of a farm passage that bisects a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure marked on the third-edition (1937) OS map. The topsoil was stripped by machine from the area on either side of the R580. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
