A small pipe-trench had been excavated without archaeological supervision. An assessment was then carried out. The trench had disturbed archaeological material associated with Leamaneh Castle. A small amount of animal bone was recovered from the site. Two flagstones had been uprooted, and part of a substantial wall had been exposed. No dating evidence for the wall or the flagstones was revealed. However, several fragments of medieval glass were recovered from the disturbed topsoil. A fragment of a perforated roof slate was also found. No further excavation took place on the site.
