Monitoring was carried out at the site of a proposed housing development at the Fairgreen, on the north-eastern side of Kilfenora from 12 to 15 August 2002. A stone-and-mortar-built pay stall, thought to be of 19th-century date, is situated on the Fairgreen, and a buffer zone of 3m was preserved around the feature. Monitoring of topsoil-stripping did not yield any material or features of archaeological interest.
