This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West project. A deposit of burnt limestone was excavated. The stone lay on the surface of the stripped ground and was not associated with a cut. The amorphous deposit measured 2.6m (east–west) by 0.8m and was 0.04–0.05m thick. A (presumably) small portion of the burnt spread had been covered by the construction of a haul road for pipeline traffic.
It is likely that this deposit was associated with another small burnt spread (No. 155, Excavations 2002, 02E1027), 50m to the north-east, and two fulachta fiadh, 25m to the north-east (No. 156, Excavations 2002, 02E1299) and 100m to the south-east (No. 153, Excavations 2002, 02E1352).
