Testing was carried out here as part of the N18 Road Improvements, Dromoland to Crusheen, including the Ennis Bypass. The site consisted of a low-lying marshy area and a kink in a field boundary. Two 20m-long trenches were opened by machine on either side of the field boundary. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
