This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. A small area of apparently fire-reddened material was observed during monitoring. Subsequent excavation showed that the ‘reddening’ was a deposit of orange/brown sand and gravel cropping out from an esker to the immediate north-west. No archaeological deposits were encountered.
