This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. A small patch of mid-brown silty clay was observed during monitoring. Subsequent excavation established that this deposit was geological in origin. A charcoal-rich deposit was shown to be unstripped topsoil. No archaeological deposits were recorded.
