Groundworks for a major landfill at Ballyduff Beg, Inagh, uncovered what was initially identified as a possible fulacht fiadh. Examination of the site, on the bank of a small stream, identified the feature as prehistoric tree roots of Scots pine and a deposit of freshwater molluscs. Monitoring of the remaining groundworks did not uncover any archaeological material.
