This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann’s Pipeline to the West. A discrete probable post-hole was excavated. The feature was triangular and had steeply sloping, flat sides that met at a pointed base. The feature measured 0.4m across and was 0.19m deep. The single fill was a mid-brown fine silt with occasional charcoal flecking. The profile of the feature suggested a machine-cut post that had been driven into the ground.
