Testing here was carried out as part of the N18 Road Improvements, Dromoland to Crusheen, including the Ennis Bypass. This site is a small round hill, in the vicinity of a possible Mass rock, no trace of which now survives. One trench was opened by machine across the top of the hill, measuring 30m north–south by 1.5m. It was excavated down to the natural, which was 0.1m below the surface. No archaeological features were noted.
