The former Muckamore bleach works are being redeveloped as a housing estate. Before our arrival the entire site had been topsoil-stripped, an access road had been built and house foundations had been cut. Despite this, it was possible to walk over the full site and investigate fresh sections. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
