The site is being redeveloped to accommodate four houses. Topsoil-stripping had begun before our arrival on-site but was stopped once the developer was notified. A photographic survey was carried out on a vernacular cottage, which was marked on the first-edition OS 6-inch map, before demolition. The lifting of its floor slab was monitored, and the remainder of the site where it had previously been stripped was walked over. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
