Test excavation in advance of the construction of Bray Civic Centre was requested as the development site lies within the area of archaeological potential for Bray town. The site (225m x 105m) is located to the rear of the existing UDC offices on the eastern side of Main Street. Sixteen trenches were excavated by mechanical digger. In no trench were finds, features or structures of any archaeological significance uncovered.
