Testing was undertaken from 26 January 2001 in advance of the proposed Baltinglass Water Supply Scheme. The area of testing was located to the south-east of a ringfort on the southern edge of Baltinglass Golf Course. No features or finds of archaeological interest were recovered.
Monitoring of topsoil-stripping in the area was subsequently carried out as part of the scheme.
