Monitoring was carried out at the proposed club-house site in the grounds of the new Bray Golf Club at Ballynamuddagh, Bray, Co. Wicklow, on 12 and 13 November 2001. A previous monitoring exercise had been undertaken by Niall Gregory (Excavations 2000, No. 1080).
The southern part of the site yielded building material from houses apparently demolished in Bray in the 1940s. This rubble was used to rebuild the access road after the original road was washed away by melting snow in 1947. The same material was used in the subsequent building of a farmyard on the site. The remainder of the excavated area contained nothing of archaeological interest.
