The owners of this site were requested to carry out an assessment of their property before development could commence. A two-storey house with associated services, driveway, garden, etc., was proposed for this site, which lies directly across the road from the ruins of Killare Church and graveyard (Cell Fhair monastic site).
Eight trenches tested this site before construction. In seven of them nothing of archaeological interest was exposed. In Trench 6 an area of charcoal and charcoal staining was exposed. Its function and date were not apparent.
