Monitoring of maintenance dredging at Duncannon Bar continued in 2001 (originally reported in Excavations 2000, No. 1009, 00E0949). Further timbers were recovered, along with iron cannon balls and a piece of copper sheathing. Underwater inspection identified the wreck site as lying adjacent to the works area. Portions of a timber ship and four iron cannon were identified. Further work is planned to more fully record the vessel.
