Pre-development testing was carried out on this proposed development, as it lies within the zone of archaeological potential for Clonmel. A series of test-trenches was opened across the site using a mechanical digger. Each of the trenches was excavated into the underlying subsoil. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
